Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between a pergola and a canopy?
A pergola has adjustable louvers that allow control over light and ventilation. A canopy has fixed covering (polycarbonate, glass) and provides permanent protection. The pergola is more flexible but also more expensive.
Is a building permit required?
For canopies and pergolas, permits are usually not required as they are temporary structures. For winter gardens, a permit may be required, especially if enclosed on all sides. We recommend consulting with your local municipality.
How long does installation take?
Canopy: 1-3 days. Pergola: 2-5 days. Winter garden: 5-15 days depending on complexity. Manufacturing usually takes 2-4 weeks before installation.
What materials do you use?
We work with aluminum profiles (Etem, Alumil) for pergolas and winter gardens, steel structures for canopies, polycarbonate and glass (tempered, laminated, energy-saving) for coverings.
Can heating be added?
To a winter garden – yes, it can be heated like any other room. To pergolas and canopies, infrared heaters can be added for comfort on cool evenings.
What warranty do you offer?
We offer up to 10 years warranty on the structure, 5 years on mechanisms (for pergolas), and 2 years on installation. After the warranty period, we offer service maintenance.
